Italian Greyhounds at the Westminster Kennel Club – they never seem to win or even make the finals. Must be the short hair. Those shows don’t play to their strengths – chasing squirrels and sitting on your lap while you read. Several of the entrants looked like ours, though I’ll bet the show dogs were a “little” smarter.

The greyhounds are neat. My brother works with a couple of organizations that rescue greyhounds from the race tracks. When a hound has reached the age where they can’t run, they take them and find homes for them. He drives a truck and often has a route from Florida to the northeast, so he takes 1-2 on the ride with him. No pay, but he loves the company.
That’s cool! I love the big greyhounds as well, but they were a bit larger than what we were looking for. Magnificent animals, though. Very friendly.

Yes, the one on the right gets medicine twice a day. She gobbles it down as long as it has Cheez Whiz on it!
