It’s the 17th most important holiday of the year.
Seriously, I love being a dad. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Here’s some great advice on fatherhood by Randy Alcorn.

Josh McDowell did some research and found that it is extremely rare for people to remember what commencement speakers said (even very famous ones, and even just a year after the event). So he gave the following address, merely saying it twice before sitting down. I think the graduates were mostly guys.
If you want your life to count for Christ then never stop loving your wife and spending time with your children.
People remembered this one.

Happy Father’s Day Neil!!!!
Thanks, Mike, same to you.
Interesting link. Hopefully the ACLU won’t sue him for that pesky church/state thing
.
All in all I appreciated his sentiments, though I think the solution is for the gov’t to do less, not more to help solve the problem.
I was glad to read that he said, “We need fathers to realize that responsibility does not end at conception.” I truly appreciate when leaders like him and Cosby point to the root cause instead of fostering the victim mentality.
That was an odd wording for a pro-abort, though (”conception”). The net result of the pro-abortion movement is that guys have every reason to think they aren’t responsible. The burden is on the girl to have an abortion.
Thanks for the great post. I got to spend part of the day at the Urgent Care getting a double sprain (foot ankle) checked out. But hey it got me out of work, and a day with the family. It was worth it.
Hey Neil! HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!..:)
Happy Father’s Day Neil! I so enjoy reading about dads who love being with their children…so inspiring!

I dunno, Stephen King gave an impressive commencement speech at Vassar…
Happy Father’s Day.
Happy Father’s Neil.
Tieki and I kind of deserted Ted today because we had to leave town so she can take the LSAT tomorrow afternoon. I hope the two hounds treated him well.
