The new atheism is unbalanced and a little scary – It is amazing that a major news outlet would publish something that rightfully critiques the violence of radical Islam and then concludes that banning all religions is the answer. Uh, yeah, that worked well for Russia and China.

Note to pluralists–you’re not helping – pithy and accurate critique of those who preach the “all paths lead to God” lie.
If you must be a pluralist, please don’t call yourself a follower of Jesus Christ. Those of us who take history and logic seriously have a lot of work to do, and you’re not helping.

Total Transformation examines Tough calls: How much to spend on sick pets? And would you spend more on your dog than your cat? That’s rhetorical; of course you would. Cat lovers, I’m just kidding! Probably!

Knol (“a unit of knowledge”) is Google’s answer to Wikipedia. It will be interesting to see how it fares. Thoughts from Stop the ACLU:
I imagine that most readers here are well aware that Wikipedia is totally unreliable on politically contentious matters. Anything opposed to Green/Left beliefs gets wiped rapidly — sometimes within minutes. Try to find on Wikipedia anything much that argues against global warming if you don’t believe me. Leftists have been devotees of political censorship ever since Napoleon. They just cannot afford to have people hear the whole story about their nonsense. And Wikpedia turns them loose.
One has to laugh at Wikipedia protestations of “neutrality”. The bias is so bad that some people are predicting the demise of Wikipedia.

Powerful prayer quotes – here’s a couple:
Paul Washer on worthless prayer Meetings: “Most prayer meetings are absolutely worthless. So that I’m really clear, most prayer meetings are absolutely worthless. First of all because they are like town meetings. They spend 20 minutes telling people news… it’s almost like a town gossip session…
Don’t even think about the hypocritical thing that goes on in churches today, in which you stand up, and you share with people a need that you’ve never even prayed about. How many times have you done that? You share a need and you haven’t even prayed about it. You’re not burdened about it...”

Keith Green: If your heart takes more pleasure in reading novels, or watching TV, or going to the movies, or talking to friends, rather than just sitting alone with God and embracing Him, sharing His cares and His burdens, weeping and rejoicing with Him, then how are you going to handle forever and ever in His presence…? You’d be bored to tears in heaven, if you’re not ecstatic about God now!”
