If you are looking for Joe the plumber . . .

Hopefully the independents will see the Joe bashing for what it is – grotesque bullying and desperate attempts to destroy anyone who dares question the “messiah.”

It is all Obama’s fault anyway. Without his teleprompter he just reflexively spit out his socialist philosophy.

Obama’s policies are socialism, pure and simple.

And despite his spin in the debate last night, he fully supports partial birth abortion.  His claim that he opposes it with a health exception for the mother is a joke.  He knows that the health exception basically means it is unrestricted.

He also lied about the Born Alive Infant Protection Act

He also opposes informed consent for women and parental consent.  In his world, your teenaged daughter must have your approval to take an aspirin at school but doesn’t need to inform you if she is going to have an abortion.

  1. Tovarisch, what is wrong with a little socialism? Not everything should be profit driven, health care is a good place to start.

Heck 700 Billion to banks who should be left to the market they pimped for the last 30 years are njoying a little bit or good ole red sociolism, why not give it a go in some areas for the average citizen?

  2. DJ,

Most on the right aren’t pleased with the bailout either. But just because such a thing was done, it doesn’t mean Obama’s version of socialism should then take place as well.

I think there’s another distinction that is often overlooked in favor of crying “corp welfare!” and that’s the fact that in the case of a mammoth corp being “bailed out”, it is usually also saving jobs, not only of that company, but likely of any company that does business with it. The ripple effect is like waves. Personally, I’d prefer it be some kind of loan situation with stiff penalties for non- or slow payment. I would feel better then and perhaps a loan for the average joe might be an option as well. People and companies SHOULD be responsible for their own business.

  3. I love it when the media gladly shows a slice of the American public that is reasonable, well articulated, and has valid concerns/questions. Too often the sound bites go to the fringe nuts on both sides of the isle. I guess ratings drive that kind of decision-making but I hope not to be alone by being tired of it!

    Go Joe!

So, what do you think?
