I read Alcorn’s blog, and liked what he had to say. Although I must confess that I am a six-point Calvinist, and I like the label. The sixth point?
If you don’t believe in all 5 points, you’re not a Calvinist.

I can’t make it past about 2.5 on the Calvin scale.
If you accept the full TULIP argument briefly, then go back and read the Gospels, then basically everything Jesus said is very, very strange. Especially when discussing the ministry of John the Baptist.

I’m a 2.5-er also (maybe 3.0) — roughly 50-60% of each. I’ll the exercise of going back through and considering the claims that way. I actually find that the plain readings seem more Calvinist — e.g., John 3 “the wind [Holy Spirit] blows wherever it pleases.”

Love it. The greenie weenies act like they’re only doing it to “SAVE THE PLANET!” (tear), and that anyone who denies it is in the pocket of “big oil”. Someone needs to remind them that the “eco-friendly” movement is also a multi billion dollar industry.
Of course they are only doing it to “save the planet”, I don’t think you appreciate what a burden all that money is to these people. They just want to have simple natural lives, but they have to be responsible, what do you want them to do, give the money away or save the earth for free.
