Your tax dollars at work

It is just Planned Parenthood, doing the thing they do 2nd best — hiding rape.  Does it bother people that PP took $15,000,000 of our tax dollars to support Obama’s re-election so he could give them hundreds of millions more and to help them hide crimes like this?

This is from last year but was linked in a more recent article.  But they’ve been caught doing this countless times.  Via Planned Parenthood Quits Defending Secret Abortion on Raped Teen:

A lawsuit in which Planned Parenthood was recently found to have violated an Ohio informed consent law has been “resolved and dismissed,” according to the Alliance Defense Fund allied attorney who filed the suit.

ADF-allied attorney Brian Hurley represents the parents of a girl who, at age 14, was brought to a Planned Parenthood clinic for an abortion by the 22-year-old soccer coach who impregnated her.

“The health and safety of young girls is far more important than Planned Parenthood’s desire to make money on an abortion,” said ADF Senior Counsel Steven H. Aden. “This lawsuit was yet another clear demonstration of Planned Parenthood’s ongoing effort to put its profit margin ahead of the true needs of young women. If they truly cared about the girls who enter their doors, they would not be ignoring Ohio law and allowing statutory rape to occur so they can make money killing a baby. They also wouldn’t be trying so desperately to keep all of their records secret.”

In December 2010, the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas determined that Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio Region violated state law when it failed to meet with the 14-year-old girl at least 24 hours prior to giving her the abortion. Following this, a psychologist found that the abortion had caused her to suffer significant psychological harm, including post-traumatic stress disorder. The case was “resolved and dismissed” shortly thereafter.

Hurley, one of more than 2,000 attorneys in the ADF alliance, filed the suit Roe v. Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio Region on behalf of the girl’s parents when they discovered that Planned Parenthood allowed her to undergo the abortion at the behest of her soccer coach.

Neither Planned Parenthood nor the soccer coach notified the parents of the abortion or the sexual relationship.  Planned Parenthood also did not notify civil authorities, which is required in cases of statutory rape. The soccer coach was convicted of sexual battery and served three years in prison.

Government spends $61,194 on welfare for each household below the poverty line – the government is wildly inefficient and ineffective in solving problems like this.

Whistleblower Cases Show Planned Parenthood Engages in Massive Fraud – Don’t expect to hear about this in the mainstream media.  This is why Planned Parenthood’s CEO campaigned full-time for Obama for a while and why they “donated” millions of the tax dollars they received to the Obama campaign.

Planned Parenthood insists it is a necessary and trusted healthcare provider that must be supported by taxpayer dollars. Recently unsealed “whistleblower” lawsuits[i] tell a starkly different story. Former Planned Parenthood employees allege improper and illegal corporate policies were implemented by Planned Parenthood to increase profits, to the detriment of both the taxpayers and the women and families government programs seek to serve.

In the most recently unsealed suit, Thayer v. Planned Parenthood of the Heartland,[ii] Sue Thayer, former manager for Planned Parenthood of the Heartland (PPH), alleges that PPH filed nearly one-half million false claims with Medicaid. According to Ms. Thayer’s complaint, PPH fraudulently received and retained nearly $28 million in taxpayer funding through abusive billing practices.

Ms. Thayer alleges that to enhance revenues, PPH implemented a “C-Mail” program that effectively mailed thousands of unrequested birth control pills to women, and then billed the government for these pills. According to her complaint, PPH also solicited funds from patients for services fully covered by government programs while continuing to bill the government program for full reimbursement.

But wait, there’s more: Planned Parenthood caught lying about its botched abortions.  Apparently and organization that kills unwanted human beings and perverts the minds of kids for a living doesn’t mind lying to help their business.

Our investigation exposes not only how unsafe Planned Parenthood clinics can be for women, but also how dishonest and untrustworthy Planned Parenthood is to the very women it claims to defend,” says Rose. “How shameful that two months after their clinic botched an abortion that took the life of 24-year old Tonya Reaves and her pre-born baby, Planned Parenthood lies to the public and pretends nothing happened. When it comes to the lethal dangers of its billion-dollar abortion business, no lie is too audacious for Planned Parenthood.

And one more on PP — they are using $12m of your tax dollars to ask for more tax dollars. Their CEO is taking a break from running the abortion machine to campaign full-time for Obama.  She knows where her money comes from!  One more reason to vote Romney.

Obama administration will pay companies to violate law governing layoff notices – shouldn’t this be front page news?  They are borrowing even more money from China for your kids to pay back, and just to further their personal political goals.

The Obama Administration’s disregard for the law has struck again—and this time, it’s encouraging others to violate the law at taxpayer expense.

That’s worth saying again: The Obama Administration is encouraging people to violate a law, and promising that it will use taxpayer money to cover fines incurred from this action.

The law: The law in question is called the WARN Act, and it requires that federal contractors send employees layoff notices 60 days before a plant closing or mass layoff.

The inconvenience: Massive defense spending cuts under sequestration are scheduled to hit on January 2, 2013. Defense contractors affected by the budget cuts would have to issue notice letters to employees by November 2 (four days before the election) to meet the January 2 start date for the spending cuts.

The penalty taxpayers would pay: Employers who violate the WARN Act are liable to their former employees for “back pay for each day of a violation” and “benefits under an employee benefit plan,” as well as a penalty of $500 for each day that notice has not been sent to the local government where the layoffs will occur.

From the “I am not making this up category” – Democrat of the Year Steals From Partially Blind, Developmentally Disabled Wheelchair-Bound Old Lady

The woman named “Democrat of The Year” this year by the Jefferson County Democratic Party has been convicted of felony theft by a Jefferson County jury for stealing from a developmentally disabled 71-year-old woman. …

On Thursday, a jury convicted 66-year-old Estelle Carson of felony identify theft and felony theft from an at risk adult for stealing checks from the woman and using them to pay her own cable, cell phone and internet bills.

The victim is partially blind, developmentally disabled, has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. She is on a fixed income of $596 per month according to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.

Nearly as bothersome as the theft itself … is the fact the Jefferson County Democratic Party was made aware of the ongoing criminal investigation and honored Carson anyway.

Yes, Benghazi is worse than Watergate. Sadly, the media is covering up the cover-up.  From John McCain:

You know, this administration is very good at touting and giving all the details like when they got Bin Laden. But now, we know that there were tapes, recordings inside the consulate during this fight, and they’ve gotten—they came—the F.B.I. finally got in and took those, and now they’re classified as “top secret.” Why would they be top secret? So the president went on various shows, despite what he said he said in the Rose Garden, about terrorist acts, he went on several programs, including “The View” including “Letterman” including before the U.N., where he continued to refer, days later, many days later, to this as a spontaneous demonstration because of a hateful video. We know that is patently false. What did the president know? When did he know it? And what did he do about it?

Like Alfred Kinsey, Obama HHS “Grooming” Children for Sex – these people should be in jail.

Kinsey, though married to a woman who took part in his many filmed “scientific” orgies, was a promiscuous homosexual and sadomasochist. He managed to completely upend and twist the world’s perception of human sexuality in the 1950s and ’60s with his world famous “Kinsey Reports.”

Even today, most are completely unaware that during his tenure at Indiana University, Kinsey facilitated, with stopwatches and ledgers, the systematic sexual abuse of hundreds, if not thousands, of children and infants – all in the name of science.

. . .

According to the FBI, child molesters:

  • Demonstrate sex acts to children. Offenders commonly use pornography to teach or give instructions to naïve children about how to masturbate, perform oral sex and/or engage in sexual intercourse.
  • Lower the sexual inhibitions of children. Some children naturally fear sexual activities. Some offenders show pictures of other children engaging in sexual activities to overcome these fears, indicating to their intended victims that it is all right to have sex with an adult because lots of other boys and girls do the same thing.
  • Desensitize children to sex. Offenders commonly show child pornography to their intended victims to expose them to sexual acts before they are naturally curious about such activities.
  • Sexually arouse children. Offenders commonly use pornographic images of other children to arouse victims, particularly those in adolescence.

During her lecture, Dr. Reisman shocked the 50-plus in attendance by illustrating that today’s Kinseyan-based sex education – as promoted by Obama’s HHS – does much of what the FBI describes above.

Stay classy, pro-aborts:

As I alluded to in response to a comment made on my post reporting on the recent pro-life rally in Melbourne, there are a couple of things that I felt would have been beneficial to exclude from the event. I mention what those are in the below paragraphs.

One of the more interesting points I noted with regards to the pro-abortion protesters in my previous article was the tactical angle of their messages:

  1. Shame, bigots, shame! Shame, bigots, shame!
  2. We won, you lost! We won, you lost!
  3. God raped Mary. She should have aborted
  4. Black, white, queer, straight! Women will control our fate!
  5. F*ck off, bigots, f*ck off! F*ck off, bigots, f*ck off!
  6. Jesus was a gay sheila who was pro-choice!
  7. You have 99 problems. They are all misogyny
  8. I had an abortion because I chose life
  9. Pro-choice is pro-life
  10. Not every ejaculation needs a name
  11. If the foetus you save is gay, will you still fight for it’s rights?
  12. My vagina has nothing to do with your God
  13. Jesus was not a fascist like these clowns

Contrast the above with these pro-life slogans espoused at the same event:

  1. Its easy to be ‘pro-choice’ when you’re not the one being killed
  2. Cruelty to animals is called ‘evil’. Torture to babies is called ‘choice’
  3. Lots of people want to adopt [but there's] no babies!
  4. We kill an AFL Grand Final crowd each year
  5. Everyone deserves a birth-day
  6. Mums need support, not pressure to abort
  7. Every life is valuable
  8. Change the law. Save the babies. Help the mothers
  9. aDoPtion not aBoRtion
  10. Each life is unique from conception
  11. Pretend I’m a tree and save me
  12. Take my hand, not my life
  13. Pray to end abortion*

Throwing more money at education will not fix it.  More commentary here.  They should take a tiny portion of the budget and visit one-on-one with parents and caregivers and let them know that they are the key to the child’s success.  No amount of spending or government bureaucracy will overcome slacker parents.

I’m not getting it. If we’re spending so very much on education, why aren’t we the top? Why aren’t we the best educated people on the planet? Why do we keep trying to throw more money at it as if that will fix it? If throwing more money at it has not improved education, why do we continue to think that’s the answer? Or is that a learning problem, too?

U.S. Education versus the World via Master of Arts in Teaching at USC

Government & bedrooms

A common pro-choice sound bite is that “Government should stay out of our bedrooms.”  It is an emotional play on the theme of privacy, but the logic is poor for several reasons.

I don’t know of any abortions that occur in bedrooms.  I’m pretty sure that most take place at abortion clinics.  Rape, incest, pedophilia, murders, thefts and a host of other crimes can occur in bedrooms, but I don’t hear anyone suggesting that the government ignore those.

I realize those items were taking the claim literally, but the pro-choice reasoning also fails in a figurative sense.  Groups that claim to want the government out of bedrooms sure have cashed a lot of government checks for “educating” our youth on sexually related matters.  Planned Parenthood and the like appear to have a great deal of interest in your bedroom activities and those of your children, and they crave and receive massive government funding and do their best to destroy anyone who gets in their way — even breast cancer charities like the Komen Foundation.

If by “government out of our bedrooms” they mean “government out of our sex lives,” then Planned Parenthood supporters should ask that they refund all the money they have received (Over $4 billion since 1987) and get out of our schools.

As with most pro-choice arguments, this claim ignores the primary issue of abortion: Whether or not an innocent human being is killed.  If abortion doesn’t kill an innocent human being, then of course the government shouldn’t be involved in determining whether the procedure is legal.  However, if it does kill an innocent human being, then it really doesn’t matter where the life of the unborn started.   And of course, the scientific fact is that the unborn are unique, living human beings from fertilization.

The government does not get involved in “bedrooms” in the sense that they dictate with whom consent adults can have sex.  But is should get involved when people want to destroy the unwanted human being created in those bedroom activities.

The Democrats want to intrude in the bedroom.  From their 2012 Platform:

The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right.

The greater irony and hypocrisy of the Left is that they now want government to be explicitly involved in the bedroom by forcing taxpayers to pay for birth control and abortions.  They don’t mind if that tramples religious freedom.  Pro-lifers are being consistent here: Keep the government out of the bedroom but protect innocent human beings, and respect the First Amendment.

In addition, as Glenn noted in the comments, they also want the government to get involved in the bedrooms of gays and lesbians.  By nature and design those relationships don’t produce children and can never provide a mother and a father to child, so why would they need government involvement?

If you vote for the Democrats, you are voting for taxpayer-funded abortions, less religious freedom and government intrusion into the bedroom.

Responding to a pro-abortionist

I barely have time to blog so I really don’t have time to address all the irrational comments that get left here. But now and then I like to analyze one to show just how extreme many of the pro-abortion people are.  Here’s a comment from my latest post.

Abortion may be a personal moral issue, and you are free to think of an abortion you might undergo to be an ‘evil’. But you have no legal right to impose your morality into the legitimate health care concerns of others – others just as capable as you in understanding the moral concerns of these decisions – without undermining the rights you yourself enjoy.

All laws are tied to morality, so the “don’t force your morals on others” slogan is intellectually bankrupt.

And of course, he forgets about the “others” that are crushed and dismembered because of these “rights.” It is ironic that those who supposedly champion “human rights” ignore the most fundamental right of all: The right not to be chopped up in pieces just because someone more powerful than you doesn’t want you around.

Look, if you want to reduce the impetus to use abortion as a method of birth control, then support those methods that reduce unwanted pregnancies.

I do. I support truly comprehensive sex education, which would include:

  • Abstinence is the best policy — see here and here.
  • The scientific fact is that a new human being is created at fertilization.
  • If you don’t have sex out of wedlock and you get a high school diploma then you are very unlikely to be poor, and you are likely to be poor if you do the opposite.
  • Planned Parenthood systematically hides the evils of statutory rape and sex trafficking.
  • Marriage is a union of a man and woman, and is the only combination that can create a child and that can provide a mother and a father to child (the obvious ideal).
  • “Over 70% of poor, cohabiting teenagers using condoms will be pregnant within a year.” — a fact from Planned Parenthood’s stats.
  • Most birth control methods offer offer zero protection against STDs.
  • Birth control offers zero protection against emotional issues.
  • The pill and other methods of birth control can have serious side effects.
  • Surveys demonstrate that married couples have the most satisfying sex lives.
  • Sex is “God’s wedding present” and great when used as designed.
  • It is absolutely ridiculous for schools to dispense birth control. It sends the implicit and explicit message that you expect kids to have sex and that the adults say you should use birth control. Guess which message they will listen to and which one they will ignore?
  • Parents need to supervise their kids. Giving kids unrestricted time alone with the opposite sex is virtually guaranteed to turn out badly.
  • Gays have syphilis and HIV rates over 40 times the rest of the population.
  • Teach the truth about the “hookup” culture, where kids barely know each other and have sex. Girls participating in “hookups” are basically acting like free prostitutes. They have all the risks of pregnancy, disease, crushed self esteem, etc., but they aren’t making any money! Somehow they convinced themselves that they are proving their equality by acting like guys do. And of course there is the associated drug and alcohol abuse required to numb their minds to what they are doing. Sad.
  • Sex is Like Duct Tape — great illustration about chemicals, bonding and the pain of out-of-wedlock sex.
  • Abortion is a terrible thing to do, but it is forgivable through Jesus. Go see your local crisis pregnancy center for free post abortion trauma counseling.
  • Post-abortion trauma is real.
  • You are much more likely to divorce and be in abusive relationships if you have sex out of wedlock and especially if you live together.
  • And more facts just like that!

Support free access to birth control.

Democrats assume that includes abortifacients, but those aren’t contraception, they are abortions. Technically, abortions might be considered “birth control” but only in the most morbid and perverse way imaginable.

Free birth control does not reduce abortions. Look at Planned Parenthood’s own stats and see how high the failure rates are for teens vs. adults.

Support the use of contraceptives. Support educating our youth on these matters.

I do support education, as noted above. I just tell the truth and the whole truth, while you spread lies, pain and disease.

Support open and free access to women’s reproductive health care.

Abortion isn’t reproductive health care. The humans have already reproduced.

Support maternity leave.

Who says I oppose that? Moms should stay home with their kids, at least until they are in school.  But I am not obligated to fund that.  Protesting an immoral act does not obligate you to take care of its victims (even though pro-lifers do many things with their own time and money to help women and children).

Support free health care and income supplements for these mothers with young children.

It is never really free. Once again, Liberals fail at basic economics.

The list goes on. And the reason why the anti-choice crowd needs to put their collective regressive head in a paint shaker and turn it on is because these methods actually WORK to reduce unwanted pregnancies while insuring the best possible health care coverage to mothers AND their young children.

Why do you insist that we get so intimately involved in the lives of others? If you didn’t teach people that they could do whatever they wanted without consequences then they would make better decisions.

And yes, I am anti-choice — that is, anti-choice to kill innocent but unwanted human beings.  And you aren’t pro-choice, you are pro-abortion, because you want to force your extremist views on others and force them to pay for abortions.

But, of course, when push comes to shove, the anti-choice crowd doesn’t want to pay the price for their imposed solution: they want young vulnerable women to pay the price for the anti-choice crowd’s religious tyrannical zealotry while hiding behind such notions as ‘protecting’ the Bill of Rights while advocating to undermine it in the name of divinely inspired morality.

Please preach more to me about vulnerable people!  You seek to destroy the most vulnerable of all

Unborn baby scheming about early church traditions

Streep calls you on it, on this hypocrisy in action, this coercive push to impose misogynistic practice on women.

Yeah, I’m so misogynistic that I oppose gender-selection abortions and you support them. You know, the ones that kill females for the sole reason that they are female.

And you help Planned Parenthood hide statutory rape and sex trafficking. Tell me more about my misogyny.

And I donate time and money to crisis pregnancy centers that help women in need. Tell me more about the misogyny of all the female workers and volunteers at the clinic.

What is astounding is just how insidious the coercion of the anti-choice position when other women try to reduce the rights of their sisters thinking themselves pious rather than the incredibly stupid, arrogant bullies they really are.

Bullies? Heh. Abortion is the ultimate bullying: Literally destroying the weakest members of society. And you are the worst kind of bully: Baiting young people into the physical and emotional pain caused by out of wedlock sex, then forcing pro-lifers to pay to kill the unborn. That’s a special kind of sickness you’ve got there.

Boomerang.

So the Democrats are going to run with the “Akin’s gaffe applies to all Republicans even though almost 100% have denounced it” theme at their convention and they are going to trot out Bill Clinton to speak there and in swing states?  Please feel free to remind people of the following:

  • A President who abused his power to have sex with an intern doesn’t make the best pro-women role model — especially when he was in the process of completely destroying her before he found out about the dress.
  • Just because he was President in the 90′s doesn’t mean he gets credit for everything good that happened then.  Remember that two of his better moves — welfare reform and NAFTA — were more Conservative than Liberal and that the Republican Congress stopped him from doing a lot damage with healthcare reform and more.  He should send New Gingrich a thank-you note every year.  Oh, and there was that little thing called the PC Revolution / Internet Bubble that did marvelous things for the economy in general and tax revenues in particular.  Clinton got the bubble and Bush got the damage when it burst.  But I don’t recall Bush blaming Clinton.
  • If Democrats really care about rape, then they should whale on people like Whoopi  Goldberg who said basically the same thing as Akin, and they should really pounce on people like accused rapist Bill Clinton.
  • Clinton was (is?) a serial adulterer.  Tell me again how that is pro-women?
  • Even Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill was on record saying that, “I don’t want my daughter near him.
  • Democrats love abortion so much that they will ignore all the horrible things Clinton means for women as long as he lets them kill their unborn children.
  • If Obama is so pro-”equal pay,” why are women underpaid in his White House?
  • If the Democrats are so pro-women, why don’t they oppose gender-selection abortions, nearly all of which crush and dismember females for the sole reason that they are unwanted for being female?  It is the ultimate misogyny, fully supported by the Left.
  • Remind them of Al Franken’s jokes about raping reporter Leslie Stahl.
  • Remind them that unemployment has been worse for women and blacks under the Obama administration.
  • If they really care about rape, then ask them why they don’t protest Planned Parenthood for systematically hiding statutory rape and sex trafficking.  The audio and video evidence against them is overwhelming.  Start by asking them, “Are all rapes pretty much equally bad, as Akin’s critics have noted?  OK, so let’s talk about Planned Parenthood . . .”
  • Also, ask them how it qualifies as pro-women to cheer at the funding losses of the Komen Foundation just because they dared to cut a tiny fraction of Planned Parenthood’s funding.
  • Pretty much anything you can mention about Ted Kennedy should be effective as well.

Don’t let the Left get away with whitewashing Clinton and their anti-women policies.  Make their claims boomerang on them just like the silly dog issue (yeah, Romney had his on the roof of his car, but Obama ate a dog).  And then there’s the latest “Oh, the humanity” reaction that Romney made a birth certificate quip.  Somehow that is unacceptable, unlike accusing your opponent of being a cancer-causing felon and abandoning tradition to make waves during his convention.

The war on women – yet pandering to Islam.

Watch how Akin’s comments are treated versus similar gaffes

Senate candidate Todd Akin said some garbled and erroneous things about rape and abortion and has since clarified them.  It appears that he was trying to distinguish between statutory rape and the more violent form, but he used the unfortunate and false term of “legitimate” to describe the latter.  He obviously wasn’t trying to say that some rapes were legitimate in the sense of being acceptable, but that isn’t how the media and the Left are playing it.  If anything, he was implying that statutory rapes were less severe.

His broader point of defending the children of rapists from death and destruction was lost.

While Romney and Ryan were quick to do the politically expedient thing in distancing themselves from Akin, I’m disappointed that their response was an endorsement of abortion in the case of rape.  I would have preferred the following:

We disagree with Akin’s botched descriptions of “legitimate rape,” of course, because he knows and we know there is no such thing.

But we agree that as awful as any type of rape is, it is never a justification for killing the innocent human being who was conceived by the rape.  Killing the unborn does not undo the rape.

We also want to note that statutory rape is still rape, and that Planned Parenthood has a long and detailed history of systemically hiding those atrocities.  If elected, one of our first acts will be to investigate them and defund them so that victims of statutory rape and sex trafficking will be protected and that your tax dollars will not support the protection of their abusers.

If we had journalists who were even remotely unbiased, they’d do the following:

  1. Report on the statutory rape and sex trafficking cover-ups at Planned Parenthood.
  2. Give more attention to the FRC shooting, where a pro-gay person — apparently fueled by the ironic hate speech of the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Left in general — planned to shoot those who hold the same views about marriage that Barrack Obama did until a few months ago.  They were barely reporting on this story as it was.  Now it will disappear completely.
  3. Note that Akin is obviously not pro-rape.  He just misspoke in a very bad way.
  4. The current President defended infanticide.
  5. Note that the gaffes of Biden weren’t mistakes (reporting on that will disappear today as well

When this topic comes up I hope that pro-lifers will be quick to point out that all rapes are evil and that killing the children conceived in rapes is also wrong.  Ask pro-choicers if they oppose all rapes, and if so, why aren’t they alarmed that Planned Parenthood doesn’t just misspeak about rapes, as Akin did, but they systematically cover them up?

Roundup

Great message about why we shouldn’t modify worship services to meet the alleged desires of the unsaved.

God was exposing a lie that had held us captive for years.  He was proving that his Word is fully sufficient, and that true converts thirst for it like a desert thirsts for rain.  Many who had grown up in the faith had hearts that were calloused toward the Truth.  Years of comfortable church had led them to hear the Word but excuse themselves from practicing it, steadily becoming self-deceived.  They projected this hard-heartedness onto newcomers, like the kids in the old Life Cereal commercials:  “Try teaching that to Mikey the Seeker – he HATES everything… Heyyyy…  Mikey LIKES it!”  Unfortunately, some never noticed or accepted that new believers were craving pure spiritual milk and even graduating to meat ahead of them.

The Sunday School class at the church we joined last year spent 3 years going verse by verse through 1 Peter.  A recipe for boredom and a shrinking class, right?  Hardly.  It grew like crazy, attracting high school kids (including my daughters) up to retired people.  Real believers want real Bible teaching.  You can tell how much confidence people have in the word of God and its power by how they treat it in sermons and lessons.

The one-size-fits-all response to Obama and his supporters when they complain about the Republican House preventing them from doing something: “You had two years of a Congress with sizable Democratic majorities, plus the momentum from your election win.  If raising taxes [or whatever else they are complaining about] was so important, why didn’t you do it then?”

—–

Atheist Jerry Coyne was so quick to dismiss the fact that Darwinian philosophy was at the root of the Columbine shootings that he said this in light of the latest events in Colorado.

Of course there was no evidence at all that Darwinism or evolution had motivated the shooters. They were disaffected and troubled boys who, thanks to America’s lax gun laws, were able to acquire an arsenal of firearms.

But as the facts show, Coyne was completely wrong.  But he is totally accurate on all of his science and never lets his ideology get in the way, right?

It was amusing to read the anti-gun rhetoric of his followers.  The survival-of-the-fittest types can’t go three sentences without contradicting themselves.

—–

Does it bother any of Obama’s supporters that he has an enemies list and that at least one person on it is now under audit from the IRS and the Labor Department?

—–

Did the mainstream media tell you about the woman killed during an abortion at Planned Parenthood, along with her child?  ”Safe and legal” only applies to the leaders of PP and their protection from accountability for countless acts of hiding statutory rape.

—–

I’ve yet to find one of the anti-gun politicians or false teachers who isn’t pro-legalized abortion.  And I’m pretty sure they are all pro-taxpayer-funded abortion, meaning that they think our country would be better if only more unwanted human beings were destroyed in the womb.

My question for them: Would they switch to opposing abortion if the “doctors” used guns instead of knives?

—–

The #1 thing to remember in the gun control debate: Criminals don’t obey gun control laws.

Methodists in Northeast Approve Pro-Gay Resolution – The Methodist Church in the U.S. is doomed. The non-Christians outnumber the Christians in this conference. Worse yet, even in a conservative area like the Texas Conference the non-Christians are able to keep Bible-believing and Book of Disciple-following pastors from becoming Bishop — and solely because they hold a biblical view of homosexuality.

While I’d love to blame the non-Christians in the denomination for this, it is really the fault of the squishy Bible-believing leaders and members who didn’t have the faith and courage to exercise church discipline and remove false teachers. Appeasement is deadly, not loving.  Sadly, some Bible-believers have learned that the hard way.  Appeasing doesn’t increase your odds of getting promoted, it just makes it 100% likely that you’ve sacrificed your principles and stopped preaching the whole counsel of God.

Leonard Pitts is a racist.  He thinks blacks and Hispanics are too helpless to obtain voter ID, even though they must provide identification for countless other daily activities.  And my guess is that he is pro-legalized abortion, which currently kills blacks at a rate 3x that of whites and Hispanics at a rate 2x that of whites. And those rates will increase as the Liberal dream of taxpayer-funded abortions increases.  Seems kinda racist to me.

Another Liberal learns what Islam is really about. She tried to help a Muslim woman and then . . .

The police were called. Britain being ruled by moonbats and Ms. Heathcote-Hyphen-Dreary being a Caucasian, she was arrested for racially aggravated assault.

Like all privileged special interest groups imported from abroad to displace the native population, the Muslims knew exactly how to play the system. Lying through their teeth, they accused Ms. H.-D. of calling them terrorists and welfare recipients. The police took no interest in her side of the story; that would have been racist.

The do-gooder gasps: “Before this, I believed that if you were innocent and told the truth, you would be protected by the system, but I’ve learned some very hard lessons.”

The main hard lesson: Multiculturalism does not mean the whole world holds hands and sings songs in praise of moonbat ideology. It means a tidal wave of Third World savagery washes away Western Civilization — and liberalism will go with it.

At least she was finally found innocent at trial. The same incident after Muslims achieve a majority in Britain will result in her being whipped if not decapitated.

Penn State & Planned Parenthood

I was glad to see that Ex-Penn St. assistant Jerry Sandusky was found guilty of sex abuse, but I’m still disappointed — but not surprised — that the media won’t connect the dots to what happens on a regular basis at Planned Parenthood (click the link for a laundry list of their evils). There are countless examples on audio and video of PP systematically aiding statutory rapists and sex traffickers by hiding their crimes. These aren’t just a few rogue employees, this is the way they operate every day.

If you thought what Penn State did was bad, then you should go ballistic over what Planned Parenthood has done and continues to do.

It doesn’t surprise me that people who kill unwanted human beings for a living would protect rapists if it meant more profit. But the Leftist media, politicians and fake religions provide cover for PP 24×7 and ignore Planned Parenthood’s crimes. That shows how far gone they all are.

They will shout the sound bites about a “war on women” just because we don’t want the government to force religious organizations to pay $10/month for things that violate their beliefs, but they ignore the very real abuse of countless girls and the literal destruction of females via gender-selection abortions.

The leaders of Penn State, including Joe Paterno, were rightly criticized and even fired for their negligence (although oddly the NCAA seems to be too busy with crimes of selling memorabilia at Ohio State to do anything about the Penn State program). Planned Parenthood shouldn’t just have their government funding shut off, they should be closed completely.

Sexually abusing anyone is evil. Doing it to minors is more evil. Planned Parenthood and its supporters are just like the Penn State people who looked the other way because they cared more about themselves than what is right.

A provocative question: Which artist caused the most harm?

Photographer and philosopher Laszlo Bencze offers a surprising answer, and it is relevant to ID.

Was it Picasso with his cubistically distorted female portraits?

Was it Joseph Albers with his huge and hugely boring square canvases depicting squares?

Was it Andy Warhol and his banal pop images?

Was it Robert Maplethorpe and his blatantly pornographic photographs?

No.

It was Michelangelo who chose to depict God in such a profoundly powerful manner that no member of Western Civilization can escape thinking of God creating Adam—their forefingers just having touched—on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. There’s a reason God tells us not to attempt to depict Him. It’s not that some cheap, silly, inept, awkward, or satirical image might diminish Him. It’s that some truly great artist might create an image so compelling that it would ever after define and limit Him.

Planned Parenthood caught facilitating gender-selection abortions and Medicaid fraud

The real war on women is killing females just because they are female. Watch the whole video and how the lady laughs about gender selection abortions and says, “I hope that you get your boy.” (Next time, of course.)

See Planned Parenthood overview for more of their evils, such as hiding statutory rape and sex trafficking victims.  They have the most brilliantly evil marketing team on the planet, positioning themselves as helpers of women and the Komen Foundation as enemies.

Then again, their payoffs to politicians and the 90%+ pro-abortion mainstream media probably help.  Just watch and see how the mainstream media handles this.

Now that surrogate’s role is played by specially trained employees, dubbed “Customer Experience Bar Raisers.” When they frown, vice presidents tremble.

3. “We are willing to be misunderstood for long periods of time.”

Many of Amazon’s expansions look like money-losing distractions at first. That sometimes sends the company’s stock price skidding and evokes analysts’ scorn. Bezos shrugs. If the new initiatives make strategic sense to him, a five-to-seven-year financial payoff is okay.

5. “Determine what your customers need, and work backwards.”

The Myth of Gay Rights ‘Tolerance’ – Great summary by Stacy McCain.  I see this all the time.  Read it all.

Any conservative who has ever tried to have a rational discussion about what progressives call “marriage equality” understands the problem: The very fact of your opposition to this radical policy becomes the basis for attacks on your motives and character.

Never mind that you are defending 5,000 years of civilization, while your antagonist is a deranged fanatic demanding that a fundamental social institution be altered (some would say, abolished) to conform to a theoretical abstraction of “equality.”

No, it is you — standing on the side of settled custom and common sense — who will inevitably be accused of “hate” you do not feel and diagnosed as suffering from an irrational “phobia.”

The fact that your accuser (volunteering also as an amateur psychologist) is demonstrably a fool, unfit to judge the morality and mental health of others, ought to serve as adequate evidence that any “debate” is a futile waste of time and effort. One might as well debate heroin with a junkie as to debate gay rights with Andrew Sullivan or Dan Savage.

Via Audacity of a lie: timeline of Barack Obama’s false religious life, Pastor D.L. Foster has a very long list of Obama’s deceptions.  Should we be surprised when he came from under Jeremiah Wright and a denomination that lets race-baiting Chuck “Jesus is not the only way” Currie speak for it?

Here’s the intro.  Be sure to read it all.

On May 9th, after some of  his top gay political donors threatened to withdraw support, Barack Obama had an epiphany.  He would frame his support for marriage perversion as a religious decision.  It was just another deceptive move in a long string of deceptive religious tactics that have heaped more chaos on American soil than at any other time in recent history.  The dutiful media followed him every step of the way, ensuring that he was seen as a pious man, guided by prayer and faith.   Yet, GCM Watch has been on the vanguard, constantly warning the church that the man many hailed as some sort of  savior, was a foreshadow of a darker one yet to be revealed. This is our timeline of events.

How’s that pandering going to work now? – Roxanne points out the ever-growing entitlement state is doomed to crumble.  Read it all.

Let’s say that you want to buy votes by giving $100 in benefits to a minority of the population – say, 10% of it.  The other 90% of the population would have to pay about $11 each for this.  Double the recipients, and each payer must cough up $25.  (At this point, the payers may start to realise that they are not on the ever-growing list of recipients, and that they are paying more than a nominal amount of money.)  Change this to giving 50% of the population a $100 benefit, and the other half of the people have to shell out $100 each.

Generally, Asians and whites out-earn their Hispanic and African-American counterparts.  Welfare, S-CHIP, food stamps, Section 8 housing, reduced tuition, and other goodies are disproportionately used by those minority groups.  This is not likely to change any time soon: marriage rates predict the earning power of the couple and the success of the children, and minorities are much less likely to marry before childbirth than are white and Asian communities. (Ergo, the chances of the socio-economic statues of minorities changing over the next few decades is approximately equal to the chance that John Lennon is living with Elvis Presley in a suburb of Des Moines.)

In the next few decades, we’ll have an ever-expanding class of people who think that entitlements are their right, combined with a shrinking class of potential payers. The Democrats will either have to make the tough choice to not sell out whites, or the American economy will collapse.

The relative composition of minority groups would not be a problem if minority groups were to act the same way as whites and Asians.  Absent a massive cultural shift, however, it is unlikely to happen, and doubly so when the Democrats believe that there is an unlimited amount of money from which to pander to minorities for votes – votes that are especially easy to buy when those groups are told that things like marriage, education, and effort do not matter.

Evidence for early dating of the Gospels

  • The Gospels were nearly perfect in how they captured the frequency of names among Palestinian Jews of the time. For instance, Ilan’s list of the 10 most popular names matched rank for rank the list of the most frequent names in the Gospels and Acts. This is an extraordinary confirmatory correlation.
  • By contrast, if you examine the most popular Jewish names in a different region (such as Egypt) at the time, the list is dramatically different. The pattern of names does not match what we know the pattern to be in Palestine.
  • Also by contrast, if you examine the names that appear in the Apocryphal Gospels (such as the Gospels of Thomas, Mary, Judas), you discover that the frequency and proportion of names in these writings do not match what we know to be true of names from the land and time of Jesus. Hence the Apocryphal Gospels do not have the ring of authenticity with regard to personal names and are rightly called into question.

A good point from Americans for Truth About Homosexuality.

Hey all, don’t buy the media line that homosexual “marriage” is inevitable! I was on the ground in North Carolina for a month, and their 61-39 victory for REAL marriage translates into 70-75% support for same if you factor out: the media’s tremendous pro-”gay” bias during the campaign; a 2-1 spending disadvantage; and most importantly, the LIES of their opponents who spread lots of confusion about what the simple Marriage Amendment would do (e.g., saying it would remove protections for unmarried women abused by their boyfriends). This was a HUGE triumph that gives the lie to the Left’s insidious “inevitable” claim.

P.S. 70% of Independents and almost half of Democrats realize Obama’s change was about politics (read: $$), not principle.  I think this position will hurt him.

Satan is evil, not stupid

And he doesn’t mind being a hypocrite.

Here’s an example that gets repeated hundreds, if not thousands of times per day: Via his useful idiots in media, education and apostate churches, Satan tempts women to get abortions by filling their minds with all sorts of lies about how killing their unwanted children will solve their problems.

Then right after the abortion he’ll be glad to tell them how awful and unforgivable they are for killing their own kids.  He’ll remind them of that as often as he can for the rest of their lives.  Hypocrisy?  Sure, but what does he care?  He has helped kill another human being made in the image of God and distanced another person from God.

He’ll even entice women to have a 2nd abortion even though they feel guilty about the first one.  Why?  Because they believe the lie that anyone who had an abortion doesn’t deserve to be a mother.  Illogical?  Yes, but again, he doesn’t care about consistency.

I heard of one couple who knew they had done wrong in having an abortion, but thought that meant they couldn’t go to church.  Whose idea was that?  By definition, churches should welcome lost sinners who want to repent and be healed.

But there is good news and hope: Even people who have been involved in abortions can get forgiveness and healing through Jesus.  One of the best things that Pregnancy Resource Centers do — besides savings lives today and for eternity — is offering post-abortion trauma counseling to women who desperately need it.  And they all need it, whether they know it or not.

If you were part of the abortion process, don’t let Satan win and keep you from God.  Help is out there from people who truly care.

Do-Gooders Aim to Round Up Indians Escaped From Reservation – this is a great example of why less government is better.  The U.S. Gov’t has tried to help the American Indians more than any other group yet the efforts have been counterproductive — just like they are when they “help” other people.

The most destructive addiction to afflict American Indians isn’t alcohol; it’s government help, as John Stossel explains:

“The U.S. government has “helped” no group more than it has “helped” the American Indians. It stuns me when President Obama appears before Indian groups and says things like, “Few have been ignored by Washington for as long as Native Americans.”

Ignored? Are you kidding me? They should be so lucky. The government has made most Indian tribes wards of the state. Government manages their land, provides their health care, and pays for housing and child care. Twenty different departments and agencies have special “native American” programs. The result? Indians have the highest poverty rate, nearly 25 percent, and the lowest life expectancy of any group in America. Sixty-six percent are born to single mothers.”

When Indians escape the welfare reservation, they take advantage of the free market’s opportunities to succeed like other Americans.

. . .

The price of a ticket on the socialist gravy train is your wealth, your freedom, and the right to call yourself a man. Anyone who wishes Indians well should want them to rise above the status of domesticated animals on the Big Government farm.

Adam and Eve after the Pill: the devastating fallout of the sexual revolution – looks like a great summary that the Wintery Knight would enjoy.

She notes that so many refuse to believe anyone could dissent from hedonism. Likening this to Communism’s true believers, she says today’s apologists for domestic decline share what Jeane Kirkpatrick called “The Will to Disbelieve.” Those who promote promiscuity, pornography, and the preludes to pedophilia as harmless find themselves switching places with the religious extremists they once derided, reciting articles of faith as the evidence mounts that their God has failed.

. . .

The result of the spread of pornography is a nation bombarded with sexual imagery, of the most explicit and grotesque variety, yet increasingly “sexually barren” in terms of sex between married people. One telling anecdote occurs on page 51, about a joyless, intimacy-devoid marriage whose “tension over marital sex leads finally to an amicable solution: She has her chocolate, and he has his Internet pornography.” As a result, two Wharton School economists conducted a survey finding that female happiness has fallen throughout the industrialized world for the last 35 years – a period coterminous with their putative “liberation.” Eberstadt connects the dots between increasing male reliance on pornography, the market of women of all ages and descriptions readily available for no-strings-attached sex, the rise of the “man-child” mired in perpetual adolescence, and female dissatisfaction at the fraying family unit.

. . .

Two chapters explore what Friedrich Nietzsche called “the transvaluation of values” – specifically, that the moral opprobrium that fell upon pornography a generation ago now falls upon tobacco. No fashionable human being would consider lighting up in public, much less inducing a child to do so, yet many consider teen porn consumption harmless, if not instructive. Similarly, the overconsumption of food or indulgence in poor dietary choices have replaced a prior generation’s concern over rootless, meaningless sexual hookups. As Eberstadt points out, modern sexual ethics are worse than those envisioned by Nietzsche, the author of The Antichrist.

The real War on Women

Thanks for visiting!  Click the title to read more posts, then click “Follow by Email” in the upper right corner to subscribe.

—–

The DNC and the Mainstream Media have created a meme about the supposed conservative war on women.  It goes like this: ”You won’t ask the government to force others — including religious institutions — to pay for birth control so women can have out of wedlock sex and early term abortions, so you are waging a war on women!”

The non-hyperbolic versions of the real war on women:

Muslim honor killings:

At least 943 Pakistani women and girls were murdered last year for allegedly defaming their family’s honor, the country’s leading human rights group said Thursday.

The statistics highlight the growing scale of violence suffered by many women in conservative Muslim Pakistan, where they are frequently treated as second-class citizens and there is no law against domestic violence.

Despite progress on better protecting women’s rights, activists say the government needs to do more to prosecute murderers in cases largely dismissed by police as private, family affairs.

Planned Parenthood systematically hides statutory rape and sex trafficking victims.

25 million females destroyed in the womb (or as infants) for the sole reason that they are female.  But the Left defends those abortion rights.

Obama cuts funding that helps low-income women in Texas because he loves Planned Parenthood more than really helping women.

Then there is Obama’s problem.  And it isn’t just the 1,000,000 reasons Obama won’t return Bill Maher’s donation, even though he called Sarah Palin a c*nt, and it isn’t just the rest of the media overlooking slurs against conservative women that pale in comparison to what Rush said about Sandra Fluke.

I’ll let the readers decide which positions are truly anti-women.

Finally, don’t miss this by the Wintery Knight.  It is a terrific summary of how we got here, plus more about how radical feminism hasn’t improved the happiness of women.

A few decades back, a vocal minority of women decided to revolt against chastity, small government, low taxes, marriage, courtship, and motherhood. They decided that it was better to be able to have recreational sex before marriage, to put their own careers ahead of motherhood, to liberalize divorce laws, to pay women to have children without being married, to vote for higher taxes, to expand government to offer social programs and redistribution schemes, and to assault the traditional gender roles of husbands and fathers. Most men had nothing to do with starting this revolution, but men in general went along with it because they wanted freely available recreational sex more than they wanted children to be safe in stable, married homes.
